New Forms of music in their infancy have often been taken as noise. The name of noiz / architecture, design and planning takes cue from developments in music history, as an everyday reminder of the firm’s commitment to unique and insightful design solutions.

Keisuke Toyoda and Jia-Shuan Tsai founded noiz / architecture, design and planning in the beginning of 2006. Both founding principals have significant work experience in Institutional, Commercial, and Residential Design in Japan, Taiwan, China, and the United States.

noiz 此名直譯為噪音的意思, 暗喻的是設計師對自我的提醒: 在此資訊無所不在的時代, 人們常認為世上不再有不曾發現的新事物, 事實上, 周遭最普遍的東西也有可能是尚待發展的素材, 有如音樂史中, 許多新音樂剛出現時都曾被誤認為噪音.

豊田啓介與蔡佳萱 在 2006年成立noiz / architecture, design and planning於東京, 工作內容包括建築, 室內, 以及傢俱設計. 成立以來已贏取日本三項競圖. 兩位設計師偕於日本, 台灣, 中國, 以及 美國擁有豐富的實案經驗.

ジャズ、ブルース、ロック、ヒップホップ、テクノ…　新しい音楽のスタイルは、いつも始めは耳障りな音に過ぎませんでした。我々の周りには、まだまだ、未知の可能性、価値観（ただ我々が、その価値を汲み取る感覚を育てていないだけの）が、たくさん溢れているはずです。

noiz / architecture, design and planning は、豊田啓介と蔡佳萱のパートナーシップにより、2006年より活動を始めた建築・デザインの活動体。まだ見ぬ世界は、結構身近に転がっていたりするものです。

Keisuke Toyoda, Partner

holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The University of Tokyo (1996), in addition to Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (2002). Work experience includes Tadao Ando Architect & Associates (Osaka), 1996-2000; SHoP Architects (New York), 2002-2005; Keisuke Toyoda founded noiz / architecture, design & planning with Jia-Shuan Tsai in 2006, based in both Tokyo and Taipei. His design experience ranges among furniture design, private residence, gallery, commercial complex, educational institute, housing complex, religious building, office building, and museum design at various international locations, such as Japan, USA, China, Indonesia, and Taiwan. Keisuke Toyoda often contributes to architectural and design magazines, such as Shinkenchiku, a+u, X-Knowledge Home in writing and editing work. Guest critic experience at Columbia University, Yale University, University of Pennsylvania, Parsons School of Design, Tunghai University (Taiwan), etc.

豊田啓介：Keisuke Toyoda, Partner

1972年、千葉県出身。96年、東京大学工学部建築学科卒業。96-00年、安藤忠雄建築研究所。02年コロンビア大学建築学部修士課程（AAD)修了。02-05年、SHoP Architects (New York)。05年より東京に拠点を移し、個人で設計活動を開始。06年より東京と台北をベースに、蔡佳萱と共同で設計/デザイン事務所 noiz を主宰。家具やインテリアから個人住宅、商業施設、教育施設、集合住宅、宗教施設、オフィスビル、美術館、大規模複合施設まで、日本、米国、中国などで実務経験多数。新建築、a+u、X-Knowledge Home等、建築専門誌での執筆、企画協力、コロンビア大学、イェール大学、ペンシルベニア大学、パーソンズ美術大学（USA）、東海大学（台湾）等での設計指導も行う。現在noizパートナー。

豊田啓介：Keisuke Toyoda, 主持設計師。

1972年出生於出生於日本千葉。1996年取得東京大學建築學士學位。 2002年取得哥倫比亞大學建築碩士學位。 先後於大阪與紐約工作:1996-2000年任職於安藤忠雄建築研究所, 以及2002-05年任職於SHoP Architects (紐約). 曾負責多起個人/集合住宅、商業設施、教育設施、宗教設施、美術館、大規模複合式建築等。 專長於多種類型/大型建築物之企劃, 設計及工程監督. 多次執筆及協助編輯於新建築、a+u、X-Knowledge Home等建築/設計雜誌, 並且曾於多所大學擔任客席評圖, 包括哥倫比亞大學, 耶魯大學, 賓州大學, Parsons 設計學院, 以及東海大学. 2006年與蔡佳萱開設noiz/ architecture, design & planning 於東京與台北.

Jia-Shuan Tsai, Partner

holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design (1999), in addition to Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (2002). Work Experience includes Suben Dougherty Partnership (New York), 1999-2000; David Hu Architects (New York), 2002-2004; Studio Sofield (New York), 2005-2006. Jia-Shuan Tsai relocated to Tokyo and started noiz / architecture, design & planning with Keisuke Toyoda in 2006, based in Tokyo and Taipei. Her specialty lies in high-end residential and retail interior design. She has also had project experience in various countries, such as the United States, Japan, China, and Taiwan.

蔡佳萱：Jia-Shuan Tsai, Partner

1976年、台北市出身。99年、ロードアイランド美術大学(RISD)建築学科卒業(建築学位、美術学位取得)。99-01年、Suben Dougherty Partnership (New York)。02年、コロンビア大学建築学部修士課程（AAD)修了。02-04年、David Hu Architects（New York)、05-06年、Studio Sofield（New York）。06年より東京に拠点を移し、豊田啓介と共同で東京と台北をベースに設計/デザイン事務所noiz を主宰。ブティックを中心とした商業施設、高級ロフト等のインテリア、住宅建築、ギャラリー、オフィスなどを、ニューヨーク、台湾、中国、東京を中心に多く手がける。東海大学（台湾）など各地での設計指導の他、家具デザイン、グラフィックデザインも行う。現在noizパートナー。

蔡佳萱：Jia-Shuan Tsai, 主持設計師

1976年出生於台北. 1999年取得羅德島設計學院建築及美術双學士學位. 2002年取得哥倫比亞大學建築碩士學位. 先後於紐約工作: 1999-2001年任職於Suben Dougherty Partnership, 2002-04年任職於David Hu Architects, 以及2005-06年任職於Studio Sofield. 專長於高級住宅設計, loft 室內設計, 以及精品旗艦店設計. 2006年與豊田啓介開設noiz/ architecture, design & planning 於東京與台北.
